West Essex Health and Care Partnership

The West Essex HCP covers the following areas of Essex:

The organisations involved include:

  • NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB
  • The Princess Alexandra Hospital
  • GP practices
  • Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust
  • Essex County Council

These organisations, along with voluntary sector colleagues including Rainbow Services in Harlow, Council for Voluntary Services Uttlesford and Epping Forest Voluntary Action, come together to provide services people need, deliver them in a way they want to use them in the most effective way. 

West Essex Health and Care Partnership was first launched in July 2019. Its agreed set of actions are to: 

  • Reduce health inequalities
  • Help local people live healthy, independent and longer lives
  • Improve local health and care services and outcomes
  • Improve mental health services and the life chances of those with mental health issues
  • Have the right staff in the right place and with the right resources to meet communities’ needs
