Frontline NHS and social care staff working with at-risk groups are entitled to have a flu vaccination and a COVID-19 booster vaccination this autumn.
We strongly advise all staff to take up the offer of COVID-19 and flu vaccinations this year in order to protect yourself and the people you work with from these viruses and prevent you from having to take time off from work due to these illnesses.
NHS and care home staff can have their vaccinations in the workplace if you choose. Those not able to get their vaccinations at work can also book an appointment for a COVID-19 booster at a local venue through the NHS App, the National Booking Service or by calling 119. Flu vaccinations can also be booked online or a local pharmacy and you should check with their employer beforehand about any reimbursement of costs.
